SFT: Ethical Leadership in the Classroomwith Jim Eastman

This one-day course is designed to provide you with concepts and theories of the ethical
decision- making process, help you recognize the signs of an ethical dilemma, identify
advantages and disadvantages of ethical behavior, and an opportunity to review
examples of classroom situations in which instructors used their leadership role to either
encourage or discourage ethical behavior. Participants in this class will examine ethics,
values, principles, and morality. State Fire Training's Instructor Code of Ethics/Conduct
will also be presented.
Instructor BIODeputy Chief – Retired, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire DistrictTraining Specialist III – Retired Annuitant with CalFire, State Fire Training Jim has over 45 years of experience in the Fire Service serving with state, city, and county fire organizations and holds multiple state certifications in the State Fire Training certification tracks. Agencies represented in his career include CalFire, Marysville City Fire, and smaller Sacramento County Fire Districts, which have developed through multiple mergers into the current Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District. Currently, Jim still provides service as a Retired Annuitant with CalFire providing instructional service with State Fire Training.
