Lectures

DIY Engine Gary Lane

This class teaches tactical principles designed to maximize efficiency with minimal staffing, giving firefighters the skills to self-correct (DIY) and maintain high-flowing, effective initial attack lines under stress. We will cover foundational, real-world engine company operations, focusing on the mechanics of making the stretch, water application, and efficient backstep team functions.

Culture of Search Nick Ledin

How often does your department train on search and rescue? Can you confidently say you are prepared for the fire call with victims trapped? This class will utilize real data and known success tactics to build decision-making on the fireground. The data comes from thousands of reported rescues documented and verified through the Firefighter Rescue Survey (FRS).
