For generations, the fire service has relied on traditional training and unknown information to guide search and rescue, often without knowing which methods truly improve civilian survivability. The Firefighter Rescue Survey (FRS) changes that by collecting and analyzing thousands of real-world rescues submitted by firefighters nationwide to show what actually works on the fireground; let's connect the data to the discipline.

Students will have a brief lecture presentation followed by light hands-on reps including: masking up with gloves on, tool selection and placement, removing victims out of windows, and victim drags. Students will also cover coordination, communication and decision-making.
