  • *PRE-RECORDED - Jason Joannides (Soda City Training)

This lecture will go in-depth into ventilation operations in residential structures. As this tactic is always on the front burner for debate, not ventilating a structure is like telling the nozzle man to put the fire out slower. Some form of ventilation must occur, during fire-ground operations. We’ll discuss our options, tactics, construction, and cut sequences that work, from real world experiences. We will also discuss the infamous “Roof Monster” aka lightweight construction.

  • *PRE-RECORDED - Chris Kessinger (Citizens First Fire Training)

  • *PRE-RECORDED - Nick Eposito (Truck Tactics)

Success or failure on the fireground for a ladder company is often measured by how well an aerial operator initially positions the apparatus. Ladder truck placement at an emergency scene is often the "make or break" moment for any operator. The individual skills and abilities of the aerial apparatus operator can dictate how successful a truck company will be in achieving their goals at a fire scene. This class will prepare aerial operators to systematically approach an emergency scene to achieve an effective apparatus placement that will allow the ladder crew to make a positive impact on the outcome of any emergency.

  • *PRE-RECORDED - OJ Kolodziej (Magic City Truck Academy)

This class is designed for anyone who arrives at a fire scene and will be making critical decisions regarding the deployment of ground ladders for the rescue of building occupant. We will discuss the decision-making process that should be utilized to assess the need for ground ladder rescues effectively.

  • *PRE-RECORDED - Ben Schultz (West Palm Beach FD)

The unprotected civilian and the encapsulated firefighter share the same fire ground enemy time. With a shared enemy comes a shared solution speed. This webinar will examine the data-driven impact that time has on victim survival rates, as well as firefighter health. Through the introduction of scientific management and the “light and fast” approach, we will focus on effective and efficient operations, training, equipment and apparatus spec, and how they all combine to create better chances for THEM and US.

  • *PRE-RECORDED - Jason Joannides (Soda City Training)

This lecture will dive into the truths and myths of commercial fireground ventilation. We’ll take an in-depth look into how we’ve used new and up-to-date information on buildings, construction, and tactics to form a playbook of options that can immediately be placed in your organization for a better understanding and operation on the commercial fireground. We took the most common ventilation tactics and put them to test in a real world science experiment to show real data on what works and what doesn’t.

  • *PRE-RECORDED - Bryan Lynch and Emily Smith (Irons and Ladders)

  • *PRE-RECORDED - Jon Quon (Tacoma FD)

  • * PRE-RECORDED - Blue Collar Training Network

  • * PRE-RECORDED - Andy Starnes (Insight Training)

Thermal Imaging in the fire service is often counterproductive due to a lack of education and training in this area. However, firefighters who learn these fundamental tips for success can enhance their fireground tasks such as search, fire attack, and more! By learning proper end-user behaviors with the device, firefighters can become more efficient in their tasks. This program incorporates 16 years of experience in this field of tips, contraindications, and how to overcome certain limitations with thermal imaging usage. The student will be able to immediately apply these concepts upon completion of the course.

  • * PRE-RECORDED - James Johnson (Vancouver Fire, CA)

  • * PRE-RECORDED - Steve Chute (Los Angeles Co. Fire)

This Elevator Emergencies and Rescue training class is designed specifically for the Firefighter assigned to an engine, truck, or rescue company which responds to elevator emergencies. The course will be structured as one 2 ½ hour on line training session. The lecture style course will give the student a basic knowledge of elevator anatomy and construction. The course will cover traction electric elevator systems, hydraulic elevator systems, elevator door styles and their locking components and how to perform an elevator rescue. The training will emphasize the safe and necessary practices and techniques vital to the safe mitigation of elevator emergencies and rescues in both traction electric and hydraulic elevators. The student will be taught both top and side “picking” techniques for center opening, side opening, and two speed elevator doors. In addition elevator “poling” and “drifting” techniques will be discussed, as well as safe patient removal techniques from a stalled elevator car. Finally, elevator Phase 1 and Phase 2 operations will be reviewed.
